Prices are per person. In group kitesurf lessons, up to 4 students join the lesson and 2 students share one set of gear for safety reasons.
What is included in each lesson
Each session begins with a briefing: wind orientation, riding zone, safety instructions, choice of kite size and equipment check. You don't put a student in the water until these basics are clear.
Gear is included: kite, bar, board, harness, wetsuit, helmet and impact vest. Advanced private and semi-private lessons may include radio coaching. In group lessons, two students share one set of gear and instruction is done without radios.

When to come to learn
Essaouira operates all year round, but the best windows for learning are often spring, early summer and September-October. High summer can be stronger: excellent for progress, less gentle for a very first session.
Spring
Regular wind, 12 to 20 knots.
Summer
Strong wind, 18 to 28 knots.
Autumn
Stable wind, 14 to 24 knots.
Winter
Rarer wind, interesting surf.
What you will experience during your first sessions
The first hours are often the most impactful: you feel the kite gaining power, you understand the wind, you discover body drag, then comes the moment when the board begins to move from under your feet. We move forward step by step so that each new step stays clear and controlled.
Essaouira offers this rare mix: a large beach to learn without feeling stuck, regular wind for a good part of the year, and a real riding atmosphere around the base. You don't just come and complete a lesson, you leave with a first reading of the ocean, the wind and your own level.

Clear progression, without pressure
Some students do their first waterstarts very quickly, others take more time to feel comfortable with the kite. Both progressions are normal. The important thing is to build a solid foundation so that the sensations remain good after the class.
The instructor always explains what's next: what we're repeating, what we're unlocking, and when you can move on to the next step. This transparency makes learning simpler, more motivating, and much less stressful for beginners.

How long does it take to learn kitesurfing?+
Pour atteindre une autonomie de base, comptez souvent 8 à 12 heures réparties sur 4 à 7 jours. Le rythme dépend du vent, de votre aisance dans l'eau et de votre régularité.
What level do you need to rent kite equipment?+
An independent level is required: navigate on the two tacks, return to the starting point and manage safety. If the level is limited, we recommend a refresher lesson.
Are the lessons provided?+

What happens if there is no wind?+
The session is postponed or replaced by a more suitable activity according to your choice: surfing, theory, visit or rest as part of a package.
