The Gnaoua and World Music Festival is a Moroccan music festival created in 1997 to promote
the cutlure of the Gnaouas (Haratin artists descended from former slaves)
held at the beginning of each summer in the Moroccan town of Essaouira.
After the constraints imposed by the health crisis, the Essaouira Gnaoua and World Music Festival
returns to its usual format in the city of Alizés. This 24th edition promises an eclectic program,
between fusion concerts, intimate evenings, improvised jam sessions and debates.
The Gnaoua and World Music Festival returns for its 24th edition, from June 22 to 24 in Essaouira.
Over the years, it has become one of the major artistic events on the Moroccan and international cultural agenda,
This year’s edition promises to be an exceptional event, full of exchange and emotion.
