Simply the best hidden gem in essaouira, clean shop, clean equipment, very accommodating, kind staff and instructors, the surf session was instructive and very fun. My partner and I took 3 kitesurfing lessons and we were quickly humbled. It is a difficult sport, but thankfully we had a patient and kind teacher with us; Ayoub really made the experience amazing! Each lesson it was Ayoub and another instructor or assistant helping us so we always had support. Ayoub gave clear instructions and instilled confidence in us. I definitely recommend him, and the KSE team!

Did 3 days of kiting with Hamza and Abdo. They were super nice, very positive and eager for us to learn as much as we could. Learned to start in 3 lessons. Adding to that, they did a 4 person lesson with only 2 of us and didn't charge more. And weren't stingy about the time. The only criticism would be that on the first day they didn't totally keep track of how much time each of us spent on the kite. Loved it very much.
I only did the rental. The prices and service was superb. My friends did the kite school and they were really happy with the kite instructors. Hamsa and his friends spread good vibes and we're really helpful with everything.

Kite and surf school is very welcoming and creates a friendly atmosphere from the start. Houssam is an excellent surf instructor, very professional and patient. He takes the time to explain each step clearly, making sure you feel confident in the water. On top of that, he’s super fun and makes every lesson enjoyable. Highly recommended!
First time and such a great experience. Abdoo has been very accommodating, he kept me informed about the weather and tides a day before hands Dan on the same day. On the first day the tides weren’t the best so he suggested to do it the next day and mentioned the right times on the next day. He had all the patience one needs from an instructor and helped me be able to stand and ride the waves on the first day. He guided me and asked questions with each try whether and which mistakes I made, to help me be build memory of what to do on speed. He took very personal interest in my growth and celebrated each progress I made. I was able to stand in the first hour just because of how he was guiding while in parallel there were students of other schools and instructors for the second day learning the same things I was learning and seemed to be on the same level. The total lesson was 2.5 hours and he wanted to continue further but my body give up because of being less physically active and I had to catchup on my travel to a different city.
I would most definitely recommend Abdoo to anyone who wants to learn for the first time or want to improve their skill set.

I did a wingfoil group class two days ago with my brother and my father and we learned a lot, Anass is a really good instructor, he is very competent in English and he guided us thorough our fist steps really well.
We even had help from another of the instructors there who helped us carry the material to the far side of the beach easily, so as not to get dragged by the wind and the currents.
The prices are very competent in comparison to other places to rent.

The advice, explanations, and support we received were excellent; everything is very well organized, and the instructors are very competent.
Although I didn't know how to kitesurf when I arrived, I managed to get out of the water and ride after only 4 hours.

Fantastic experience at the KSE in Essaouira! The instructors are super helpful, professional and prepared. I rented the premium material for 5 days, nothing to say: everything was perfect. Every time you go on the beach there is one of them that inflate and prepares the equipment for you. You can decide to change board or kite according to your needs or the wind. Moreover, I got an hour of private lessons with Faysal: it is not only the owner, but also the best big air kiter. I learned so much with him. I would recommend the experience to anyone who wants to do a week of kitesurfing in Essaouira.

I wanted to join a course but there had not been enough. So I had got lessons at ANASS about a week. I was almost total beginner at wing-foiling a now I’m flying. OK just straight but still…not bad for a 50+ lady. Anass was patient enough, sometimes demanding and always motivating at the end of the lessons. A good mixture to get the inner push.

I wanted to try out some kites to see which I would buy. The school was very helpful explaining the different types of duotone kites. They helped me launch and land at the beach and provided great vibes throughout. I'll definitely be back!
This was both my first time in Morocco and first time surfing. Hamza was my instructor and he did a great job of breaking down the process of surfing step by step, by the end of the session I was able to confidently manoeuvre on the board including standing and body 180s. Hamza was also incredibly hospitable and gave us lots of advice and best places to eat in essaouira. Would definitely recommend!!!

Believe all the great reviews – this team are as good as they say! Better, actually. We came to Essaouira as complete kitesurf beginners and stayed for five weeks. Abdou and Hamza were our main teachers but everyone was involved at some point along the way and Faycel, the manager, always ensured everything was perfect. They were incredibly patient and incredibly skilled – and, importantly, have an incredible approach to learning and life, always with a smile on their faces and looking out for you and each other. Every day was fun even when it was tough! Essaouira is one of the hardest places you can learn because there can be waves and gusty winds but that sets you up for wherever you go next. This school is special. They became more than kitesurf teachers, they became friends. What more can you ask for?

We rented equipment with my partner and also took lessons with Abdul – everything was amazing! Abdul explains things very clearly, is super patient, and creates a great atmosphere during the lessons. The vibe at the rental shop is also fantastic – everyone is very friendly and helpful. The equipment is in excellent condition, well-maintained and not worn out. Even if you're just renting without taking lessons, they help you carry the gear to the beach and get started. There's always someone from the school on the beach, so you're never left alone. The prices are very reasonable too, which makes it even more appealing. Highly recommended!

Absolutely phenomenal group of people. Incredible service, genuinely friendly and caring staff, and everything you need for a quality kitesurfing experience in Essaouira.
I rented gear from KSE and ended up dislocating my shoulder fairly quickly into my session on a routine fall. Absolutely no fault of the gear or them, and this is a very uncommon kitesurfing injury. Just a freak accident.
However, the KSE team was incredible. They arranged for a traveling doctor who had been renting gear from them to come see me. He gave me an initial diagnosis, but because it was my first time dislocating the shoulder, he suggested I go to the hospital to confirm there was no fracture. The KSE team recommended a specific hospital accustomed to quality care, and one of the employees drove with us to help translate and ensure I was looked after.
I was in the hospital for 4 hours, and two KSE employees stayed the entire time. They helped translate, speed up the process, and ensure we avoided paying illegitimate fees. They were invaluable and made me feel way more comfortable that I was being looked after. A third employee even joined near the end to wish me well. I cannot thank them enough.
I realized that in the commotion of the injury I never paid for my rental. When I went back the next day, everyone was extremely welcoming, and they refused to accept my payment, even when I insisted.
KSE is right next door to two other kitesurfing shops, and there are plenty of options in Essaouira. But there are few to none in the entire world that will offer this level of caring staff. It speaks to an incredible culture fostered at the shop.

Kitesurfing at KSE was just a really great experience. Abdo explains things really well and you can tell he has a lot of experience. For me as a beginner it was really great and I would choose the school again at any time.
I am very convinced of the kite school. Soufiane is a really good teacher and I managed to stand on the board for a few meters at the end of the third lesson. Everyone at school is really nice and relaxed and speaks English and French well.
I actually came to Essaouira to learn kitesurfing. Because there wasn't enough wind for two days, I tried surfing and took a double lesson with Abdo. Everything was explained very well to me step by step 🙂 He and everyone else at the surf school are really very likeable. After the double lesson I was able to continue practicing on my own and continued to rent surfboards. I can only recommend Abdo and the whole school in general.

We had a 2 hour lesson with Hamza, one adult and two boys 7 and 9. Hamza was great at explaining and took great care of everyone. Hamzas local knowledge of the sea and currents was invaluable. We spent a few days in Essaouira with my daughters to take our first kitesurfing lessons. The wind was a bit poor but the KSE guys gave us excellent advice on the best times and the type of lesson best suited to our needs. Starting from scratch, they taught us the basics of kiting clearly and effectively through a series of targeted exercises that in just a few hours allowed us to try starting with the board! On days without wind (which seems frequent in winter) we took some surfing lessons instead, it was the first time for one daughter and she immediately managed to surf!
We had a very good time with the whole KSE team: they are welcoming, competent, close-knit and enthusiastic, we highly recommend them and we certainly hope to be able to return in the future!

I had a 2hr lesson with Soufiane and it was great. I unfortunately don't speak French or Arabic, so was a little concerned that it might be hard.His English was MORE than ok so if that is something you need, he would be a great option. Excellent instructor.

Very happy with Ayoub, and the team at KSE! Had tried kiting on snow before, but water is another matter. Ayoub took us quickly through the basics and straight up to a sensible level based on previous experience. A bit of a mess with the equipment (as there always is with kiting) so they extended the hour at least accordingly. Good service!

Hamza Mayke was an amazing instructor, highly professional and very friendly. Just don’t bring your girlfriend along, as he is extremely handsome. All jokes aside, he made it very easy to understand the basics and to apply them in the water afterwards. Would definitely recommend!

Mike and Hamza made this a very good first surfing experience for me and my wife. They were supportive and had several tips that helped us improve our surfing. It was a fun experience, lot of exercise in the water. Next time, if the wind conditons are optimal, we try kiting

I was end of October 24 in Essaouira for 1.5weeks Kitesurfing and decided for KSE. Although pricing at 1st sight is similar to other schools nearby, I would say, they are far more generous and provide far more value for price than other schools.
Wind conditions were difficult at that time and they were fully accommodating to guests needs putting their need to earn money for their living at 2nd place. I highly appreciated this rare mindset at nowadays time. And enjoyed some rewarding surf lessons at 2 of the days without wind.

Great place to learn kitesurfing! We were new to the sport and took a series of lessons with Ayoub who ran us step by step through the different aspects of kitesurfing and made sure we learned in an efficiënt way! Although kitesurfing might seem difficult to learn and the beginnings are slow if you have never flown a kite, learning in steps makes sure you have the proper technique before putting it all together and getting some great runs!
Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I took lessons from Ayoub. He was a good, friendly teacher with a lot of patience!

I had lessons from Ayoub, hè was the best. Hè doesn’t overload you with tips and focuspoints, but gives you just the right ammount of tips to focus and work on. Rest of the guys at the shop were great. If I come to Essaouira again I will definitely come here again.

I had a great experience here as an advanced beginner:) Abdoul was the most patient , kind and helpful teacher I’ve had . His peaceful attitude helped me a lot and calmed me:)) I was able to concentrate and reach some major goals! The shop is super nice and the vibe is cool and relax. It’s what we all need!
